The National Stock Exchange of India has extended the market trade timing for interest rate derivatives to 5 pm, effective from February 23, to align it with underlying market timings. This means that interest rate derivative contracts for February expiry will be available for trading till 5 pm on February 23. However, there will be no change in the trading hours for other interest rate derivative contracts, and the final settlement price computation mechanism will remain the same. The change aims to improve market efficiency and convergence with underlying market timings.
